WPI Vs Performance Reports?

Why does Monitor and Control Project Work take 'Performance Reports' as inputs and Perform ICC takes 'WPI' as inputs and not the 'Performance Reports'?

My point is - Change Requests are processed by the Perform ICC process, so Performance Reports are better inputs than WPI..after all, performance reports are create in the Report Performance process which takes WPI as inputs. Moreover, I have also read that analysing the impact of the change suggested by change requests before approving or rejecting is also part of Perf ICC...then why this process takes only WPI as inputs

Hi,

 

I assume that it is better to use the WPI, because they are faster available and can directly used to compare to the other Inputs of the Integrated Change Control.

The performance reports more informative for the the stakeholders to get an view about the project and will not always available, if a change appears that must go throu the ICC.
